Jin’s passion for art started with  Chinese calligraphy and Danqing landscape paintings from an early age.  Life led her to take a degree in science and she then relocated to the UK to complete her PhD. A period of research into genetic disease at Oxford University followed and later she pursued a career in banking in London. 

Over the last several years, Jin has been working on art at a full pace. Living in London, she was fortunate to have been exposed to the various disciplines and activities in the art sector and art schools. Jin loves working with her hands, painting in oil with her palms and fingers. This allows her energy to flow directly her to her artwork.

Currently her key focus is in oil painting, where she has exploited her Chinese calligraphic mark making and variety of other techniques to extend her expression onto canvas. She has enjoyed using strong, flowing calligraphic lines, and dotted brushstrokes creating liberal, electric, dynamic, bold, and passionate paintings.
